Restraint…..a poem

You walked over and I looked at you and it started,

This rushing feeling within me,

This unimaginable passion,

This enrapturing feeling.

I had to hold myself down,

Take a deep breath,

Converse with you,

Act normal.

My chest starts to fill up,

I can barely breath,

I just need to kiss you,

To touch you.

I just sat there looking at you,

You’re deep chocolate eyes,

You’re messy hair,

You’re smile.

My insides start to melt away,

I make up an excuse to leave,

I can’t sit there anymore,

I don’t think I can restrain myself.

Laugh til you die, love til you cry.
